GS Gas operates in the field of LPG transportation and trading

GS Gas AEBEY is a 100% Greek company engaged in the transportation and trading of LPG in the domestic market. Founded in 2013, it acquired the necessary facilities and was granted a Type C LPG Trading License by the Ministry of Environment & Energy.

The company continues its development in various energy sectors as it obtained a natural gas supply license from the Regulatory Authority for Energy in 2017.

Thanks to its flexibility and strong financial position, the company managed to gain significant market shares in a very short time.

The goal is for the company to capture additional market shares in the domestic market in the coming years and achieve outward orientation by exporting some of its products. Despite the unfavorable domestic financial environment, the company managed to grow rapidly by basing its strategy on the triad "Safety - Reliability - Economy."

Finally, it is worth emphasizing that the central slogan of the advertising campaign followed by the company is the phrase "Orange Energy" to achieve the association of the color with the company's products, making them easily recognizable (achieving Branding) by consumers.

GS Gas is engaged in the trading of LPG in bulk and bottled form

Bulk LPG Trading

  • To industrial and commercial customers (industries, workshops, greenhouses, agricultural dryers, restaurants).
  • To hotels, hospitals, residences for heating, cooking, hot water production, etc.
  • To stations for vehicle movement.

Bottled LPG Trading

  • To bottled LPG distributors.
  • To retail stores (through collaborating distributors).
  • To collaborating supermarkets, minimarkets, and retail shops.

Today, the company has 7 facilities with nationwide distribution, as well as headquarters in Athens (6 Poseidonos Ave, Kallithea). Specifically, the company has LPG storage and bottling facilities in the following areas:

  • Athens (Aspropyrgos)
  • Athens (Mandra, Attica)
  • Thessaloniki
  • Larissa
  • Boeotia
  • Corfu
  • Rethymno

Customers in the rest of Greece are served either by the aforementioned facilities or by direct transportation from collaborating refineries. As presented,  GS Gas AEBEY is engaged in the trading of LPG both in bulk and bottled form (cylinders).

Specifically, the company today offers its customers the following types:

  • Propane (Bulk or Bottled)
  • Heating Mixture (Bulk or Bottled)
  • Movement Mixture (Bulk)
  • Butane (Bulk or Bottled)

LPG bottling takes place at the company's 6 facilities, resulting in extensive nationwide distribution.
Additionally, the company has a large transportation fleet to meet nationwide demand. Specifically,  GS Gas today has a variety of proprietary vehicles (tankers and cylinder transport vehicles) of different types to meet the specific needs of customers (e.g., need for refueling a liquid fuel station with a small tanker due to space constraints).
High quality is ensured for all company vehicles as there is an intensive maintenance and repair program to comply with all necessary safety regulations.

The vision of GS Gas AEBEY is to evolve into one of the most important LPG trading companies in Greece, with diverse activities around this sector, gaining consumer trust through its operation for its seriousness and competitiveness.

GS Gas AEBEY, according to its statute, is expected to have multiple fields of activity in the coming years. Indicatively, some fields of activity of the company are as follows:

  • LPG bottling and trading, trading and distribution of LPG in bulk form, trading and distribution of LPG in bottled form.
  • LPG import and export.
  • Natural gas supply and trading.
  • Import, manufacture, and trading of LPG components or products containing LPG, import, manufacture, and trading of LPG packaging materials and any related items with LPG, as well as import, bottling, and trading of FREON and other refrigerants.
  • Transportation, distribution, and trading of all types of petroleum products, transportation, distribution, and trading of asphalt products, import and trading of petroleum transport vehicles.
  • Conducting land and sea freight transport.

GS Gas supports a significant part of its successful course so far on its very good organizational structure and the organization, management, and control systems it applies at all levels of its operation.

Operating in a sector (LPG) where adherence to safety regulations, effective production organization, and product quality assurance are the most important success factors, GS Gas has made the best use of the knowledge of its experienced staff from the broader petroleum sector, as it managed to absorb the relevant know-how by operating according to the strictest standards of organization, control, safety, and quality.

At the same time, the company's long-term goal is the continuous retraining/training of its experienced staff, with specially designed seminars on key topics:

  • New Technological Developments in the Production Process.
  • Specialized Technical Methods and Safety Systems.
  • Quality Control and Assurance Procedures for products, in relation to their uses/applications.
  • Information on new applications of products (Cars, Construction, Industry, Household consumption, etc.) and training in providing technical assistance for promoting these applications.

The company's organizational structure, which is hierarchically structured, is presented in the following Diagram. The most important advantages of GS GAS's organizational structure are the following:

The main Departments of the company are the Commercial Department, the Financial Department, and the Facilities Departments. Additionally, the company has a specialized Legal Service and an IT Service that horizontally support all functions of the company.

The company develops and implements an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

ISO9001GS Gas has developed and implements a Quality Management System. In this context, it has received an ISO 9001: 2015 certificate for the trading of bulk and bottled LPG.

The implementation of this system and the adoption of the procedures, actions, and activities described in detail in the company's Quality Assurance Manual support the overall effort for further upgrading the planning, organization, control, and safety systems it follows, responding to the ever-increasing market demands for improving the quality of offered products and services.

The responsible Quality Coordinator ensures the observance and implementation of the Work Instructions and Procedures of the Company's Quality Management Manual. He also recommends the need for issuing/modifying/revising existing instructions, with the ultimate goal of quality, in the broadest sense, in all phases of processes within the Company.

The Quality Coordinator always collaborates with the General Management and the individual Directors to resolve problems, define responsibilities and accountabilities among those involved, and issue new instructions.

Safety Specifications

GS Gas complies with all safety specifications derived from Greek and European Legislation

For our company, safety issues are at the forefront. Some actions in this direction are as follows:

  • Regular vehicle/tanker maintenance program
  • Regular inspection of cylinders after bottling for leaks
  • Cylinder certification after ten years from manufacture and recertification whenever required
  • Regular maintenance program for tanks both at facilities and at tanks installed at customers
  • Compliance with all safety regulations at facilities (e.g., signage, fire extinguishing systems, etc.)
  • Compliance with safety systems during bottling (special cap on cylinders, special sleeve with serial number)
  • Facility security

GS Gas, although founded in 2013, managed to grow steadily achieving annual gradual improvement of its financial results in an uncertain financial environment due to the economic crisis plaguing the country.
